The AEM 22-401P Performance Short Ram Air Intake System has been engineered to be an affordable and easy way to boost the horsepower and torque of your engine. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The sound your engine makes when accelerating is also modified to a fuller, more aggressive resonance allowing you to hear and feel the horsepower upgrade. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable chrome-like finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine's factory emissions control devices including the engine breather hose, vacuum lines and inlet air temperature sensor (where equipped). The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). The air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. The K&N AirCharger 63-1017 air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in some Honda Civic models. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your Civic's engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 63-1017 air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter that installs into the previous air box space. The placement allows air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install requiring only pliers, a screwdriver and several wrenches. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.
